During our study of plants students will be asked to label the parts of different types of plants. This picture shows a labeled model of a flower (specifically a sunflower plant) and is a great example for students. As a class we will learn about all of the parts of plants, what their jobs are and where they are located on plants. At the end of our unit students should be able to label plant parts based on their knowledge gained from this unit. Some helpful activities and projects can be found at the website where I found this picture. Click the word website above to go to that website!

Chapter one
Although this chapter was very interesting and I learned a lot I am very concerned with the amount of reading for this class. I know most (if not all of us) are in internship and we don't exactly have time to sit in front of the computer and read for hours on end. I am already very interested in the course matter and integrating the computer and technology into the classroom and I am looking forward to learning more.
Sometimes I worry that I won't be able to keep up with technology and the changes it makes.
I have never had an online text book and as cool as it sounded at first I realized very quickly that my eyes hurt after a while and it was distracting to be connected to the internet while reading. I want to be very interactive with my intern classroom and students but if i'm up all night reading hundreds of articles or trying to figure out one class I will be no good to my class.
I would like to learn more about computers and technology but I am still kind of weary about changing from my comfortable, more traditional ways of teaching. Right now, I don't see anything wrong with being OK with the activeboard and a white bored. Most of my students don't have internet access even at school.
